Congo Airways (the new national airline of the Democratic Republic of the Congo), will make its inaugural flight on August 24

The national airline will succeed the defunct Congolese Airlines (LAC) bankrupt in 2003, and will compete with Korongo Airlines, a subsidiary of Brussels Airlines operating from Lubumbashi airport.

Congo Airways, aims at serving eight cities in the DRC, including Goma (east) and Kinshasa, before moving to fourteen servants within three years to cover a territory as large as 80 times Belgium, before launching international routes .
