Rwandair to conquer West African market

The Rwandan national company Rwandair, has started since the first week of October 2017, its three weekly flights from Dakar. Cotonou was until then its West African hub in West Africa.

The Rwandan Ambassador to Senegal Dr Mathias Harebamungu, officially launched Rwandair’s activities in Senegal, which highlights an economic association, not only between the two countries, but also between East and West Africa.

For the Senegalese authorities, the arrival of this new company will contribute to the spread of the airport platform of the country, a few months from the official opening in December of the international airport Blaise Diagne Diass.

The company will carry out 3 flights a week and thus facilitate the free movement of people and goods for a dynamic and prosperous Africa.

Dakar, with three flights per week on Cotonou SUB -HUB via Abidjan, will be added to the 20 destinations of the company and, from Dakar, the connection will be made to other destinations such as Libreville (Gabon), Douala (Cameroon), Brazzaville (Congo), Johannesburg (South Africa), Dubai (UAE), Bombay (India), etc., and the opening of the Bamako (Mali) and Conakry (Guinea).

Rwandair also plans to conquer America to deploy its wings in the first half of 2018.
