Rwanda is the 7th best managed country on the planet, according to the World Economic Forum

According to the 2014-2015 Global Competitiveness Report, the Rwandan government ranks 7th in terms of efficiency in public management. This country is thus in front of nations like Switzerland (9th) or Luxembourg (10th).

According to the World Economic Forum (WEF) which published this report, Rwanda’s ranking is largely due to the very low level of waste in government spending. Indeed, the report assesses the level of effectiveness of governance in 144 countries around the world on the basis of criteria such as waste of resources, obstacles to regulation and transparency in the formulation of national policies.

In Africa, Rwanda is followed by Mauritius which ranks (26th) and South Africa (32nd). In the east of the continent, he ranks very far ahead of Kenya which comes in 51st position or Uganda (79th).
