Anthony Mutua the young Kenyan who invented shoes that recharge batteries

Anthony Mutua of Kenya has found the idea to use the energy created by the movements of our body to generate electricity and therefore recharge batteries of mobile phones or other electronic devices.

The battery is placed in the sole of the shoes and the piezoelectric system activates with each press of the feet on the ground and produces a renewable energy without paying the least penny.

There are two ways of collecting energy: directly connect the device to be recharged to your shoe via a cable large enough so that the device in question can be placed and held in a pocket, or retain the electricity generated in the Battery system to recharge it when seated.

This invention is estimated cost only 35 euros. The concept of Mr. Mutua obtained a grant of $ 6,000 (about $ 4,700) from the National Council of Kenya Science and Technology (NCST).
