Davido recruits Young Thug and Rae Sremmurd for his “Pere” video
This is another Naija-USA collaboration: Davido has teamed up with Young Thug and Rae Sremmurd on his latest single, “Pere”, produced by DJ Mustard.
Davido is making international moves. After “If” was remixed by R-Kelly, he is now coming hard with “Pere”, alongside American rapper Young Thug and Rae Sremmurd.
In the video we see Davido surrounded by flames as he performs the track, and delivers his chorus in Yoruba. Pere is set to be a club-banger. For SONY International Music, it is a win. The song is the number one trending song on Youtube.
Davido met up with Rae Sremmurd out in L.A. last year and played them the track. They loved the Afro trap vibe the song had and wanted to jump on it immediately. Three months later, he met Young Thug. Once he heard the song he wanted to record a verse.
